Hard to believe that Tenley tolerated getting beat by her husband for five years. My guess she worried about her son Cole. Gavin was a bad mistake. She liked Rook from the very beginning and it looked like their relationship was starting. What happened to Gavin after the shoot out where Buck was killed? There were some confusing parts here!

This is the 2nd story in the High Rollers MC and we get to read about Rook and Tenley and her son, Cole. At the end of book 1 the MC is dealing with the lose of Asher. Tenley returns to Vegas after 8 years with her son to escape an abusive marriage to Gavin from California and runs back to her brother Spade. Tenley meets Rook while out at a bar one night to unwind and they spend an amazing night together not knowing their paths will meet up! Tenley agrees to let the MC help her with the threat from Gavin as he has taken Cole to use against her, Rook and the MC. Rook finally realizes that Tenely is Spades sister and he ends up angry with her and Tenley is mad that Rook did not tell her he was in the MC. They work through their differences and have the fight of their lives, to get Cole back! Mr Money is again after the MC and behind Gavin and all his evilness. This story is one with romance and drama. I look forward to reading the 3rd story in this MC story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the High Rollers MC series. In this book, Tenley return to Las Vegas with her son Cole after leaving an abusive marriage to return to her hometown and see her brother Spade. Spade is a member of the High Rollers and they haven't talked in eight years since Tenley left because of Spade's lifestyle. Spade welcomes her and her son home and asks her where she had been. Tenley tells him she is home because of a divorce, but doesn't tell him everything. The first night, Tenley leaves and goes to a bar where she meets Rook. They go back to Rook's apartment and in the morning when she wakes, she leaves without waking him, but she leaves a note. They see each other again and have a great connection. When Tenley eventually tells Spade about her abusive husband, he takes her to the MC for protection. Tenley is shocked to see Rook there, and even more shocked to find out Rook is Spade;s best friend. Rook cares for Tenley, but because of her being Spade's sister, he knows they can't be together, only they can't stay away from each other. When Tenley's husband finds her, more danger comes in ways they never saw coming. I love this series. I loved Rook and Tenley. I think they had amazing chemistry and i think they were great together. Spade had some personal things in his own life, but he still wanted Tenley to be happy. I look forward to reading more of this series.
Rook had a hard childhood. His dad was a drunk and beat on his mom and him at times. Once his dad was out of the picture, he made sure his mom had a good life.

Tenley parents died and her brother started hanging out with the High Roller MC. He didn't want her to get involved with them and said some things to make her leave. She went to California and meet Gavin. She was young and thought he was everything. After her son was born, Gavin started beating on her. After 5 years of it, she took her son and snuck out in the middle of the night to return to Las Vegas.

Rook and the others were trying to figure out how to retaliate after Mr. Money killed of their own. He went to a bar to drink and in walked a women. He talked to her and things led to an all nighter. The next day they had lunch.

Tenley came back to her brother Spade and he welcomed them. She finally told Spade about what Gavin had done to her. He brought her to the MC to see if they will protect her and her son.

Rook showed up for church. When a women walked in. The girl has has spent time with the last two days. What will happen now. Now that Tenley is Spade's sister. Will they get to be together?

This is the first book I have read from Kasey Krane but I love Savannah Rylan's writing. This does not disappoint. It was so good. I couldn't put it down. I cant wait to see what happens in the rest of the series.

“ROOK”, the newest submission by the writing team of Kasey Krane and Savannah Rylan, is absolutely phenomenal! It is the second novel by this writing team in a series about the members of the High Roller MC. Rook, the character for whom the novel is named is one of those amazing men who captures the attention of a room when he enters it. And yet, that night at the bar when Tenley walked in, she captured his heart and took it with her when she left. Good news for Rook, she did not go far. While Rook is a man with danger pulsing off of him, surprisingly the only place Tenley feels safe is in Rook’s arms. Rook and Tenley have this amazing chemistry the nearly explodes when they meet, so rooting for their happily ever after was easy to do. Add to that the most adorable little guy, Cole, to steal every scene, and wanting this family to heal the damage from their past becomes palpable. Then on top of the wonderful prose, great characters and the growing relationships the authors gave a new little twist to this MC tale by adding the menace of Cole’s father and Tenley’s ex. With his arrival, things get really complicated. See, there is a war brewing between Mr. Money and the High Rollers MC, and NO ONE is exempt from Mr. Money’s evil plans to take over the High Roller’s very profitable casino and kick them out of town. Meanwhile, I know that readers will be delighted with “ROOK,” and the suspenseful, sensuous, and STEAMY MC romance story it tells. Fair warning though, “ROOK” may keep you up all night, because once started I could not put this compelling novel down! I voluntarily read a copy of “ROOK” and this is my honest, voluntary 5+STAR review. “ROOK” is the perfect MC drama to break up the holiday hassles. Get away in the pages and plot of a good book, and GET your copy of “ROOK” today! Happy pages! 😉
I love Savannah Rylan, so I knew this was going to be a good series! Love the characters as well as the story!!!
Surprise ending. Left me looking forward to the next story. Hooked on series now. Can't wait for the next one.
